Pendleton Woolen Mills 'Suwanee Stripe' Blanket
The patchwork design of this blanket is a tribute to the artistry of the Seminole Indian women, of what is now the southeastern United States. This is the signature design of the Seminole women - intricate patterns of multi-coloured shapes, originally hand-sewn together from remnant cotton bolts. This technique evolved with the introduction of the sewing machine, allowing for more elaborate patterns, and is an art form still practiced today. Unnapped. Ultrasuede trim.
