When we design an interior, we strive to capture something of home. Instead of copied mimicry and ersatz ingredients from someplace else, we strive to be here, now, in the current moment – and yet evoke something too of the past, that we may rightfully cherish. After all, this is home. And if we do include an ingredient from somewhere else, something special, like an exotic rug, which a client may already own, we work to make it belong.
Our Algonquin Vignette may evoke that sense of a Sunday drive in rural Ontario. It's an overall greyed out palette – you'd never see a tropical palette at our latitude – yet with intentional splashes of familiar colour. And even they're greyed out: the blue in the lamp, the green dishes, the dried flowers. Layer in the sunset tones of the dramatic rug, and combined with the subtle Algonquin Grey/Williams stain combination on the furnishings; it's a satisfying contrast and a comforting effect.
For a limited time, we're offering furniture from our Algonquin Vignette at 25% off. Every piece, made close-by and finished by hand in our Ottawa woodshop. Here and now, indeed.
