Benches, lately, are exceedingly popular at the table. They're easy to tuck out of the way, they break up the rhythm of a traditional all-chair grouping, and you can cram a bunch of kids onto them (grown ups too). Shown here with a hand planed Williams stain top, it's a forgiving combination. Family life isn't always easy on furniture. The Xander bench will stand up and age gracefully.
